Ms. Nadia Volchansky

 

Nadia Volchansky is a seasoned educator, a creative leader and a strategic problem solver. With established experience in the industries of design and academia, she served clients from various markets, including the public sector, healthcare, infrastructure, higher education, business, hospitality and retail. Her clients included the Marriott Hotels, Nordstrom Inc., Mercyhurst University, St. Vincent Health System, Project Medicare and the South African National Parks. Independently, she has created and led multi-dicsiplinary initiatives focused on infrastructural needs in rural Haiti and South Africa. She continues to build partnerships with local firms and non-profit organizations to enhance communities in a range of local projects.

Nadia brings extensive experience in design thinking, pedagogy and activism.  She is a published researcher and is currently a member of the Constructed Environment Research Network Advisory Board. She also chairs the GW Interior Architecture Advisory Board. Her research interests include human-environment compatibility, specifically in healthcare, design pedagogy, and the intersection of strategic and creative thinking.

Raised in the former USSR, and having lived throughout the world, she has first-hand experience of working with diverse populations. Nadia holds an M.S. in Interior Architecture from The University of North Carolina, and is currently finishing an M.B.A. at The George Washington University.

Throughout her career, Nadia has been recognized for her resiliency, a deep level of commitment to her clients, effective communication, and a drive for innovation.  She continues to be a passionate visionary who challenges the status quo and excels in building strategic partnerships.
